About Dom

Dom Hall is a New Zealand–born photographer who relocated to Canada at the beginning of the pandemic, after years working in New Zealand, Australia, Asia and Antarctica. His international experience continues to inform his perspective and approach to image-making.

His eye for composition and disciplined approach to framing are influenced by the traditions of early portraiture and photojournalism. This foundation shapes a style that is observant, intentional, and grounded in authenticity.

Dom’s strength in lighting is evident across his portfolio. Comfortable working in both controlled studio environments and unpredictable natural light, he is able to adapt to a wide range of settings while maintaining a consistent standard of quality.

Having lived and worked across diverse regions, Dom communicates comfortably across cultures and societ. His calm, clear direction helps subjects feel at ease, making portrait sessions efficient, professional, and engaging.
