LOOKING YOUR BEST
-
Almost everyone says this before their shoot. Almost no one says it afterwards. Dom's approach is relaxed, guided, and genuinely enjoyable — he's spent years working with people around the world, which means he's very good at communicating and making people feel at ease quickly. You don't need to know how to pose. That's his job.
-
It's up to you if you’d like to do your own make-up or have our team take care of it. We offer it as an optional add-on for all shoots.
For Personal Branding, professional hair and makeup is included. Whether you’re male or female, we’ll take care to have you looking your best, and produce the most flattering series of portraits. -
Get a good night's sleep, stay hydrated, and have your outfits ready to go.
If you wear glasses, clean the lenses. If you're having studio shots, avoid heavy tanning or drastic hair changes the day before. We'll send a full prep guide with your booking confirmation. -
Wear something that reflects how you show up professionally — not necessarily a suit, but something that feels like you at your best.
Solid colours generally work better than busy patterns. If you wear patterns ensure they are ironed and not wrinkled.
Avoid large logos or text. Bring at least one backup top or jacket.
When in doubt, smart casual is almost always the right call. We'll send you a full preparation guide when you book. -
For the Essential session, one outfit with a change of tops is all we have time for. For Professional, bring two. For Personal Branding, bring three or more — we'll work through them across the session to give you variety across different platforms.
For Professional or Branding sessions, we offer a consult on outfits and style. -
If you're planning a haircut, aim to get it done 5–7 days before your shoot. Fresh cuts can sometimes look a little sharp and unfamiliar on camera — a few days gives your hair time to settle into its natural shape.
If you colour your hair, the same rule applies. And if you're growing it out, resist the urge to trim right before — let it be what it is and we'll work with it. -
If you normally wear a beard, keep it — shaving the day before a headshot often looks jarring and unfamiliar, who is that guy?
If you usually keep it trimmed, tidy it up 2–3 days before your shoot so it looks neat but natural.
If you're clean-shaven, shave the morning of your shoot for the freshest look. The goal is to look like the best version of yourself — not a different version entirely.

Team shoots vary depending on the number of people and the setup involved. Environmental portraits require a lot of problem solving with lighting, while studio sets require time to set up.
A minimum of 2 hours is required for us — and often we arrive with professional equipment and set up a full mobile studio on-site, there's more to the process than just the shoot itself.
For teams of three or more, a minimum half-day fee applies to account for travel (within Victoria), setup, and breakdown time.
That said, we work efficiently and if you need us in and out within a specific window — between meetings, during the board lunch, or before the office gets busy — just let us know and we'll structure the session around it. -
Group/Team photos are on a sliding scale based on how much effort, planning and editing goes into each shot.
Group photos are available as an add-on for team shoots, or as stand alone shoots above 6 people.
Pricing is as follow: $100/person under 5, then $600 6-12 People, $800 12-25 people, $1000 25-50 people, $1200 50+ -
Yes — our Victoria studio works well for smaller teams. Up to 5 people can be comfortably accommodated at a time, so for larger groups we work in rotation, bringing people through in small batches throughout the session.
For big teams this can create a bit of a revolving door — which actually keeps things moving efficiently given some extra planning.
If you have a larger team, we'd generally recommend an on-location shoot at your office, where we bring the studio to you and work through everyone in one seamless session. -
This is one of the most common challenges in team shoots and Dom handles it well.
The approach is relaxed, fast-paced, and low-pressure. We chat and break the ice, find out what music they like and put something familiar on if the space allows it. There might be people who prefer to be alone infant of the camera - Dom will sense that, and quietly suggest the people use the coffee machine outside.
Most people are surprised by how quickly they settle in. We've shot teams with notoriously camera-shy members and received nothing but positive feedback. -
It happens. We can arrange a short individual session for anyone who misses the team shoot — billed at the standard per-person rate. Just let us know as soon as possible so we can schedule accordingly.
-
If they're in the building, send them over — we'll shoot them regardless and do our best in post to make them look good. You’d be amazed at what we can - and have had to do.
We do offer pickup sessions for anyone who missed the shoot, billed as a standard Headshot session ($350).
Just get in touch and we'll get them sorted. -
Absolutely — after your shoot you'll receive a full proof gallery of everything we captured.
You're not limited to just your included images. Any additional shots can be purchased at $100 per fully retouched image.
Just let us know which ones you'd like and we'll get them edited and delivered within 10 business days.
Proof Galleries will stay online for one year post shoot before being taken down, so even if you want to buy more images later - you can! -
Yes — we offer on-site image selection via an iPad viewing system, so you can review and choose your favourites right there on the day. This works well for large teams of 50+
It is included complimentary for full-day team shoots. For all other sessions it's available as an add-on for $150. Otherwise, we'll send a full proof gallery within 48 hours of your shoot and you can make your selections from there at your own pace. -
We work hard on the day to make sure everyone feels comfortable, relaxed, and gets a great result — and our proof gallery means you're choosing from the best of everything we captured. That said, photography is subjective and we can't guarantee everyone will love every shot. What we can guarantee is that we gave it our best. If there's a genuine technical issue with an image, we'll absolutely make it right. For everything else, we're happy to have a conversation and see if we can work something out.

TEAMS
-
You receive a license to use your delivered images for your own personal and business purposes — website, LinkedIn, social media, marketing materials, and internal communications. This license is yours to keep with no time limit or additional fees.
For team shoots, both the business and each individual team member receive a license. Whether team members are permitted to use their images on personal profiles — such as personal LinkedIn or social media — is at the discretion of the business at the time of booking.
Commercial use beyond this — including paid advertising, editorial submission to third-party publications, or licensing images to another business — requires a separate commercial license, quoted per project based on usage, region, and duration.
If you're unsure whether your intended use requires a commercial license, just ask and we'll advise.
-
Standard packages include usage for your own business marketing. Paid advertising — such as digital campaigns, billboard, print media, or broadcast — requires a commercial license, which is quoted separately based on media spend, geographic region, and license duration.
Please let us know your intended usage when you enquire.
